Consultant - Management and Finance

Mr. Abul Kalam Azad worked for RCB as a consultant to develop social and environmental management system in a large bank and to analyze skill gaps in leather sector value chain sponsored by respectively GCPF and SDC.

Mr. Azad is now working as Head of Products, Propositions and Specialized Business Initiatives for MSME Banking in a financial organisation. He is going through a set of complex and multidisciplinary business management tasks including product, sales promotion, process, risk management, accounting, promotion, technology, regulatory, credit recovery, people and organization issues to develop and expedite banking service amongst MSMEs. The role enables him to dive into many client industries - FMCG, agro-processing, consumer durables, light engineering, transportation, retailing, information technology, housing, construction, fuels and powers, educational institution, healthcare etc.

Earlier he worked in a various flagship country brands in NBFI, Telco and Pharmaceutical, from 2006 to 2017 in different capacities and functions ranges between supply chain management, dealer network management, sales coordination, branch management, relationship management, credit appraisal and monitoring, customer service, compliance and regulatory.

Mr. Azad attained his MBA from Institute of Business Adminstartion (IBA) – University of Dhaka and B.Sc. Honors in Forestry from Institute of Forestry ad Environmental Sciences (IFES) – University of Chittagong respectively in 2006 and 2003.
