Dr. MOhammad Ismail

Dr. Mohammad Ismail has more than 15 years of experience in teaching, research and consultancy in the area of energy, environment, clean fuel, carbon capture, climate change, air quality management and pollution control, waste management (biomass, plastic, textile, leather etc.), effluent treatment, fossil fuel and renewable fuel, e.g. solar and biofuel. Dr. Ismail has the consultancy experience with UNDP, ADB, World Bank and various private organizations. Dr. Ismail has a great interest in contributing and collaborative projects and research as well as for University-Industry Alliance research.

Currently, Dr. Ismail is serving as Associate Professor of Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is awarded PhD in Engineering (Chemical) from University of Cambridge, UK (2016) and M.Sc. (2002) and B.Sc. (Hons) (2001) from the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He started career as a researcher, later in 2008, joined as faculty member of University of Dhaka and has multi-country work experience e.g., in United Kingdom, India and Bangladesh. He published more than 40 peer-reviewed research articles, attended and presented around 50 national and international conferences in Bangladesh, India, Egypt, UK, Italy, Sweden, USA etc. and managed 15 projects. Dr. Ismail is also attached as adjacent faculty at various universities like Independent University, East West University, Daffodil University, United International University of Bangladesh. He also passionate about Entrepreneurship and involved with ‘Safe Chem Innovation’- a need base startup chemical plant and with ‘Dorpan Group’, an entrepreneur venture working on real estate.
