Sustainability and Circularity Engineer 

Md. Sakib Al Montasir is working as an "Engineer-Sustainability" at Reed Consultancy Bangladesh, incorporated with three of the projects until December 2024. In one project of GIZ, namely ‘Academia-Industry Nexus' of HELD, he has planned and organized network sessions and prepared reports on women empowerment, mentorship, green jobs and job matching focusing on the textile industry of the country.  In another project of GIZ named 'WaSaTex', he has assisted through consequent factory visits, process analysis, problem identification, preparing validation reports, comprehensive reports and case studies, involving 50 textile factories to reduce process water consumption. He has also led a survey project for UNIDO on data collection from 30 factories to evaluate readiness for digital product passports.

Sakib has completed training and courses in chemical management, water savings, supply chain management, MS Office and digital marketing. He graduated from the Department of Wet Process Engineering of Bangladesh University of Textiles, being in the top 15% of the merit list of the department. Apart from academics, he has been actively engaged in more than 10 institutional, national, and international organizations, arranging more than 100 events, workshops and campaigns, both as an organizer and as a participant. His long-term goal is to establish a career in sustainable supply chain and circular economy.
